When we claim what we need by faith, God will meet our needs. But when you pray it, you still have to say it. he shall have whatsoever he SAITH." Certainly faith works in prayer (Mark 11:24).

The Lord continued, "Now then, if it were healing that you needed for your own body, you'd just claim that by faith. But faith is the same in the financial realm." Now, you only use faith as far as salvation, the baptism in the Holy Ghost, and healing are concerned. And the Lord said to me, "Faith is the same in every realm and in every sphere. At one point I fasted and prayed about our finances for three days. And for the first year we struggled financially. In 1949 the Lord led me to leave the church I was pastoring and begin traveling in ministry. Faith has something to do with whether you receive His blessings. The Bible says, "Without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him" (Heb. Some folks think these things will just fall on you automatically like ripe cherries off a tree. You've got to appropriate what belongs to you. If you don't believe, even though you're in the perfect will of God, it still won't work right. Somebody said, "Well, if you're in the perfect will of God and you're willing and obedient, everything's going to work just right, and He'll meet every need."īut you've still got to believe. I didn't have a shadow of a doubt as to whether I was in the will of God. I don't know why, but early in my ministry, I went for several years and never had anything, because I didn't believe for anything much financially or materially. Many people have gotten saved, but they've never thought about using their faith beyond believing God for salvation. But I never thought about using my faith beyond salvation or healing. I'd been saved and then healed by the power of God as a young Baptist boy.
